Lifeline is a personal response system that provides 24/7 help at the touch of a button. It helps to reinforce independence and well-being, enabling individuals to remain in their homes despite illness or disability, while providing reassurance that help is always near for those who live alone.
Lifeline pendants - worn around an individual’s wrist or neck - are activated when a patient presses its button, connecting them with an immediate emergency contact.
Additionally, Lifeline can be programmed to remind individuals when to take medications.

Meals on Wheels
Oftentimes aging is accompanied with significant struggle. With declining health or even a lack of financial resources, many seniors lose their independence. In an effort to help homebound seniors maintain health, dignity and independence, VNA operates Porter County’s Meals on Wheels program.
For many seniors in our community, a VNA Meals on Wheels volunteer is the only person they will see all day. Having that companionship along with a warm, nutritious meal adds significant quality of life. In addition, family members unable to be with their loved ones daily have the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is not alone and is being checked on.
Meals are delivered five days a week. Individuals can choose to receive up to two meals each day.
Hot lunch only - $4.50 per day
Hot lunch and light supper - $6.35 per day
